Aceh Tamiang Marks 81st Anniversary of the Indonesian Prosecutor’s Office with Symbolic Presentation of Waqf Land Certificates to Six Nadzir
ACEH TAMIANG, INDONESIA — The 81st Anniversary of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia in 2026 was marked by a significant step toward strengthening legal certainty and the protection of waqf assets in Aceh Tamiang.
As part of the commemorative activities, six nadzir (waqf trustees) received Waqf Land Certificates in a symbolic presentation held at the Aula of the Aceh Tamiang District Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
The event brought together representatives of the Aceh Tamiang District Prosecutor’s Office, the Aceh Tamiang Land Office, and the Aceh Tamiang Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, reflecting strong inter-agency cooperation in strengthening legal certainty and administrative protection for waqf land.
The certificates were symbolically handed over by Head of the Aceh Tamiang District Prosecutor’s Office, Dr. Yudhi Syufriadi, S.H., M.H.; Head of the Aceh Tamiang Land Office, Husni, S.ST.; and Head of the Zakat and Waqf Affairs Section at the Aceh Tamiang Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Zulfahmi, S.H.I., M.H.

The presentation of certificates to the six nazir represents an important measure to provide legal certainty regarding the status and ownership of waqf land, while also promoting orderly land administration throughout Aceh Tamiang.
Strengthening Legal Protection for Waqf Assets
Waqf Land Certificates play a strategic role in strengthening the legal foundation of waqf assets. Beyond serving as official land documents, the certificates provide greater protection against potential disputes and help ensure that waqf land remains safeguarded and utilized in accordance with its intended purpose.
For the nadzir, the certificates are more than administrative documents. They represent an important legal instrument for protecting community assets and ensuring that waqf properties can continue to deliver social and religious benefits to the public in a sustainable manner.
Head of the Aceh Tamiang Land Office, Husni, S.ST., emphasized the importance of continued cooperation among land authorities, the Prosecutor’s Office, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs in providing accessible services and legal certainty to the community, particularly in the administration and protection of waqf assets.
The collaboration is expected to extend beyond the symbolic certificate presentation, with continued efforts to accelerate the administration and certification of waqf land across Aceh Tamiang.
Cross-Sector Collaboration for Legal Certainty
The presentation of Waqf Land Certificates during the 81st Anniversary of the Indonesian Prosecutor’s Office demonstrates the importance of cross-sector collaboration in strengthening public legal awareness and ensuring proper land administration.
Through closer coordination among relevant government institutions, the protection and management of waqf assets can be improved while minimizing the potential for future disputes.
The initiative also reflects a broader commitment to providing land and legal services that are more certain, accessible, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the community.
The 81st Anniversary of the Prosecutor’s Office therefore carries an added significance for Aceh Tamiang—not only as a moment of institutional commemoration, but also as an opportunity to strengthen legal protection for assets entrusted for the benefit of the community.
