ACEH TAMIANG – The spirit of independence is once again alive. Amid the commemoration of the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the Aceh Tamiang Branch of the Indonesian Advocacy Agency (DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang) extends its warmest greetings to the people of Indonesia and calls on all parties to turn this historic moment into renewed strength to recover from the impact of the hydrometeorological flood disaster. The statement was delivered in Karang Baru, Sunday (August 16, 2026).
Following the disaster, many communities in Aceh Tamiang continue to face challenges, including the recovery of homes and infrastructure as well as social and economic conditions. Yet behind these hardships, the spirit of mutual cooperation and solidarity remains a powerful force for recovery.
DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang emphasizes that independence must be felt in real life—including by communities still struggling to rebuild their lives after disaster.
