Aceh Tamiang, Indonesia – The spirit of building a stronger and more prosperous Aceh Tamiang continues to grow through the collaboration of various community organizations. In a joint commitment, Syamsul, Chairman of the Regional Board of the Indonesian Advocacy Agency (DPC BAI) Aceh Tamiang, Hendrikoi Lubis, Chairman of the Regional Board of the Joint Secretariat of Indonesian Journalists (DPD SWI) Aceh Tamiang, and Tahar Bin Yusuf, Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee Indonesia (NPCI) Aceh Tamiang, reaffirmed their shared dedication to advancing sports development as a key pillar in creating a healthy, accomplished, and competitive generation, particularly in Aceh Tamiang Regency.
The commitment was delivered during a meeting at a café in Karang Baru on Friday (July 10, 2026).
The three organizations emphasized that sports are far more than competitive events. They serve as a powerful platform for character building, strengthening unity, and nurturing talented athletes capable of bringing pride to Aceh Tamiang at the provincial, national, and even international levels.
According to the organizations, the progress of a region should not be measured solely by its physical infrastructure but also by the quality of its human resources. Through sustainable sports development, they believe Aceh Tamiang can produce disciplined, resilient, ethical, and highly motivated young people who will contribute to the region’s future.
DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang highlighted the importance of broad public support for the development of the sports sector, including protecting the rights of athletes, coaches, and communities so that everyone has equal opportunities to develop their talents and potential.
Meanwhile, DPD SWI Aceh Tamiang expressed its commitment to promoting the achievements, dedication, and inspiring stories of local athletes through educational, constructive, and motivational journalism, thereby fostering greater public optimism about the future of sports in the region.
At the same time, NPCI Aceh Tamiang called on all sectors of society to provide equal attention and support to athletes with disabilities. The organization stressed that physical limitations should never be viewed as barriers to excellence. With proper coaching, equal opportunities, and strong community support, para-athletes can become a source of pride for the region while inspiring future generations.
“Sports are the universal language of unity. On every playing field are born the values of sportsmanship, discipline, hard work, and brotherhood. These are the foundations for building a stronger, more advanced, and more united Aceh Tamiang,” the three organizations stated in a joint declaration.
They also encouraged the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government, the business community, educational institutions, youth organizations, and all members of society to work together in improving sports facilities and infrastructure, strengthening youth athlete development programs, and creating an inclusive and sustainable sports ecosystem.
