Aceh Tamiang – The Chairman of the Aceh Tamiang Branch of the Indonesian Advocacy Agency (DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang), Syamsul, through the Investigation Team represented by Ahmad Akbar Aritonang, expressed appreciation for the monitoring and inauguration of a Community Hall (Balai Dusun), clean water facilities, and public sanitation facilities (MCK) constructed by ARKOM Indonesia, led by Chairman Yuli Kusworo, under the guidance of Dr. Anis Rasyid Baswedan, along with their team, in Pengidam Village, Bandar Pusaka District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, on Saturday (July 25, 2026).
The program is part of the post-disaster recovery efforts following the devastating flash floods that struck Aceh Tamiang in late November 2025. The newly established facilities represent a tangible commitment to addressing the essential needs of communities affected by the disaster.
Through its Investigation Team, DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang stated that ARKOM Indonesia’s contribution has provided significant benefits to the local community, particularly the residents of Pengidam Village and Bandar Pusaka District as a whole. The newly constructed Community Hall will not only serve as a center for community activities but has also been designed to function as an emergency evacuation shelter in the event of future disasters.
In addition, the clean water system and public sanitation facilities are expected to greatly improve access to basic services for local residents, especially after the disruption caused by the disaster.
DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang also acknowledged ARKOM Indonesia’s extensive humanitarian assistance since the emergency response period, including the distribution of food supplies, the construction of public facilities, and support for the development of permanent housing (Huntap) for disaster survivors. As part of this commitment, ARKOM Indonesia has purchased land in Pantai Cempa Village to develop a permanent residential area for affected families.
On this occasion, DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang extended its sincere appreciation to Dr. Anis Rasyid Baswedan, Advisor of ARKOM Indonesia, Chairman Yuli Kusworo, their entire management team, and all volunteers for their dedication, compassion, and unwavering humanitarian commitment in assisting the people of Aceh Tamiang throughout the post-disaster recovery process.
Residents of Bandar Pusaka District, particularly those in Pengidam Village, expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the support and assistance provided. According to community representatives, the aid has not only delivered much-needed facilities but has also restored hope and strengthened the community’s determination to rebuild their lives after the disaster.
“The support provided by ARKOM Indonesia is clear evidence that the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility remains strong. We pray that ARKOM Indonesia will continue to grow, be blessed with success, and keep making meaningful contributions to communities across Indonesia,” said a community representative.
DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang hopes that the collaboration among the government, community organizations, humanitarian institutions, and local residents will continue to strengthen in order to accelerate post-disaster recovery and promote resilient, inclusive, and sustainable development throughout Aceh Tamiang Regency.
