Aceh Tamiang, Indonesia – In commemoration of Pancasila Day on June 1, 2026, the Branch Executive Board (DPC) of the Indonesian Advocacy Agency (BAI) Aceh Tamiang, based at its Secretariat in Dusun Satelit Graha, Kebun Tanah Terban Village, Aceh Tamiang Regency, called on the public to uphold the values of Pancasila as a guiding principle in overcoming life’s challenges, including the ongoing recovery efforts following the floods that affected several areas of Aceh Tamiang.
The Chairman and Secretary of DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang, Syamsul and SIP Simanjuntak, stated that the spirit of Pancasila Day should not only be observed as a historical milestone for the nation but also serve as a reminder of the importance of unity, mutual cooperation, social justice, and compassion for fellow citizens who continue to face hardships due to the disaster.
According to Syamsul, many flood victims are still awaiting the completion of various forms of assistance, including housing rehabilitation grants for lightly, moderately, and severely damaged homes, Living Allowance Assistance (Jadup), household furniture assistance, and economic recovery support for affected families.
“In the spirit of Pancasila Day, we encourage all stakeholders to strengthen their commitment to fulfilling the rights of disaster-affected communities. The principle of social justice, as embodied in the Fifth Principle of Pancasila—Social Justice for All Indonesian People—must be genuinely felt by every citizen without exception,” said Syamsul.
DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang also expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the government and various parties involved in disaster response and recovery. However, the organization hopes that the distribution of pending assistance can be completed promptly, transparently, accurately, and in accordance with the needs of the affected communities.
Through the commemoration of Pancasila Day, DPC BAI Aceh Tamiang invited all elements of society to continue fostering unity, strengthening social solidarity, and jointly overseeing post-disaster recovery efforts to achieve greater welfare and prosperity for the people of Aceh Tamiang.
“Pancasila is the unifying force of our nation. In post-disaster situations, the values of mutual cooperation, humanity, and social justice must serve as the foundation for ensuring that every affected citizen receives proper attention and assistance,” SIP Simanjuntak concluded.
The extended family of the Indonesian Advocacy Agency (BAI) wishes all Indonesians a meaningful Pancasila Day.
“Together with Pancasila: Rise, Recover, and Prosper.”
