BANDA ACEH — Building solidarity among institutions is an important step toward strengthening efforts to uphold justice and protect the rights of the public. This commitment was reflected in a meeting between Syamsul, Chairman of the Aceh Tamiang Branch of the Indonesian Advocacy Agency (Badan Advokasi Indonesia/BAI), accompanied by Juliardi, Head of Investigations, and Prof. Dr. Husaini Ibrahim, M.A., Chairman of the Aceh Provincial Commissariat of the Reclasseering Institution, accompanied by Vice Chairman Prof. Dr. Syarifuddin Hasyim, S.H., M.Hum. The meeting took place at the Secretariat of the Central Presidium of the Indonesian Reclasseering Institution, Aceh Regional Commissariat, on Jalan Lamgapang, Simpang Tujuh, Ulee Kareng, Banda Aceh, on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
The meeting served as an opportunity to strengthen communication, foster institutional relations, and explore potential collaboration in advancing justice and legal protection for the public. Both parties discussed the importance of solidarity and organizational cooperation to ensure that efforts to defend people’s rights are carried out in a more coordinated, responsible manner and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
In a friendly atmosphere over coffee and lunch, the discussions covered several strategic issues, including organizational development, institutional capacity building, and opportunities for cooperation in carrying out each institution’s respective responsibilities. The meeting also provided a platform for exchanging views and experiences, broadening perspectives, and strengthening their commitment to social advocacy and legal assistance.

Interinstitutional collaboration is considered essential to promoting greater legal awareness among the public while expanding access to legal protection. Through continuous communication and coordination, BAI and the Reclasseering Institution are expected to establish constructive cooperation while upholding professionalism, independence, and respect for established legal procedures.
The meeting is expected to mark the beginning of more concrete cooperation between the Aceh Tamiang Branch of BAI and the Aceh Provincial Commissariat of the Reclasseering Institution. Upholding justice requires more than commitment alone; it demands concrete action, the courage to defend people’s rights, and a consistent commitment to the rule of law.
